There's no need to panic here. A domain doesn't cost that much. They are mostly between £5 and £20 a year.
If you do not want someone else to have the same domain name as you, then you may want to buy multiple top-level domains (ex annec.no, annec.se, annec.dk, annec.com etc), and you can do it at a very favorable price. Then you are almost guaranteed that there is no website called the same as yours.
